About Shareef 

Shareef Mahdavi's career has been focused on helping doctors be better in their chosen profession.  

Beginning as a management trainee at SmithKline Beckman, Shareef rose through sales and marketing roles at Allergan Humphrey (now Zeiss) and went on to lead the marketing launch at VISX, developer of the LASIK laser.  In 2001,  he started SM2 Strategic to help companies and doctors created demand for elective self-pay technologies.  SInce then, has helped more than 50 companies and thousands of doctors.  

A frequent speaker and author of over 100 publications, Shareef was recognized for his work to improve the customer experience for patients as recipient of the 2011 Experience Management Award, given annually by Experience Economy authors Pine and Gilmore.  

In recent years his focus has expanded to include helping doctors make better financial decisions regarding daily operations as well as the future of their practices.
